Type NM-B (non-metallic-sheathed cable) may be used for both exposed and concealed work in normally dry locations at temperatures not to exceed 90 degree C (with ampacity limited to that for 60 degree C conductors) as specified in the NEC 1. NM-B cable is primarily used in residential wiring as branch circuits for outlets, switches and other loads. NM-B cable may be run in air voids of masonry block or tile walls where such walls are not subject to excessive moisture or dampness. Voltage rating for NM-B cable is 600-Volt.

This tubing is suitable for applications up to 600-Volt providing excellent waterproof insulating and environmental sealing protection for connections. High impact and abrasion resistance of this heavy wall tubing provides the highest level of mechanical durability. When heated above 250 degree F (120 degree C) there is a 3:1 shrink ratio. Tubing will shrink unrestricted to 33% of its original diameter, the recovered wall thickness of the tubing is proportional to the degree of recovery (approximately 0.08 in./2 mm when fully recovered).
