Load Centers
Easier than ever before - Generac's 9855 HomeLink Upgradeable Manual Transfer Switches are now easier to install, expand and maintain than ever before. To meet the requirements of 2017 National Electric Codes, improved 30 Amp and 50 Amp HomeLink models can be used with any portable generator featuring compatible GFCI outlets. With interchangeable circuit breakers that simplify the reconfiguration process required for replacing or expanding from 8 to 16 circuits, HomeLink switches can be used to provide power to hard-wired loads such as your homes furnace, well pump or lights. Unlike other manual transfer switches available to the general public, HomeLink models can also be upgraded for automatic functionality with home standby generators up to 11kW by simply changing out the original controller assembly. Pre-wired for easy installation, these updated switch models also feature an electronic rocker button that seamlessly switches between utility and generator power. Indicator lights identify the presence of utility and/or generator power and bundled options are currently available with cords and power inlet boxes included. Thanks to the re-launch of Generac's HomeLink Upgradeable Manual Transfer Switches, protecting your desired loads and transitioning from portable power to an automatic standby solution is easier than ever before.

Although the generator creates the power, the transfer switch is really the core of your generator system. It is an electrical panel that allows you to safely connect a generator to your home's electrical circuits and is permanently installed near your main circuit breaker panel. It constantly monitors incoming utility power and determines when a true power outage is occurring, switching from utility power to emergency generator power and back again when utility power returns. Options include transfer switches that provide power to only essential circuits or every circuit for whole-house coverage, and some allow for prioritization of optional circuits or load shedding, such as heating and cooling. By manufacturing our own transfer switches, we ensure they integrate seamlessly with our generators for the perfect system. We offer more options than any other manufacturer to ensure you can customize the exact system you need. Whether its essential circuit coverage, load shedding or complete whole house coverage, there is a Generac transfer switch for your application. With the RTS transfer switch, you can choose to cover every circuit all the time or only essential circuits when paired with a generator sized to your application. RTS open transition transfer switches are ideal for residential, commercial and light industrial applications.
