The Oatey 4 oz. Purple Primer is formulated from a mixture of solvents. Designed to remove dirt, oils and other contaminants from the surface of PVC or CPVC piping. Low volatile organic compound (VOC).
- Pre-softens PVC and CPVC pipe and fitting surfaces
- Can be used on any diameter of PVC or CPVC piping
- Do not use on ABS pipe installations
- Meets ASTM F-656
- Removes surface dirt, grease and grime as well as softens the pipe surface to allow a fast, secure solvent weld
- For use in areas where plumbing code calls for verification that a primer has been used
