The 3M Aqua-Pure Whole House Scale Inhibition Replacement Water Treatment Cartridge AP431 for the AP430SS was designed to reduce scale build-up on hot water-using appliances such as water heaters (standard and tank-less), clothes washers and dishwashing machines and on plumbing fixtures like faucets, pipes and shower heads. The AP431 is as easy to change-out as a light bulb. Easy change-out makes system maintenance easy.

• Polyphosphates, included in this product, help to inhibit scale buildup in hot water heaters (both standard (gas or electric) and tank-less styles) and boilers
• Helps extend the life of hot water heaters and hot water using appliances, pipes and downstream plumbing fixtures such as faucets and shower heads
• By inhibiting scale buildup on heat elements, helps maintain water heater efficiency
• Rated for up to 10 Gal. per minute (GPM)
• System has a pressure range of 25 psi - 125 psi (862 kPa) and operating temperature of 40 degree F - 100 degree F (4.4 degree C - 37.8 degree C)
