A security feature of this lock prevents the key from being removed when in the unlocked position. This feature prevents forgetting the key in the lock, while at the same time ensuring the mailbox is locked every time. It includes a total of 5 zinc plated steel cams, brass pins, a spring steel locking clip, a dust cover to protect the internal pins and springs from dust and moisture in exposed exterior conditions, and 2 keys. To unlock this mailbox lock, the key must rotate 90° in a counter clockwise direction.
