The Eaton Cutler-Hammer 50 Amp 2 in. Double-Pole Type BR Replacement Circuit Breaker trips to the center position and has a maximum load of 240-Volt. The UL-listed circuit breaker is compatible with Westinghouse, Challenger and Bryant load centers. The breaker is designed for overload and short-circuit protection of your home electrical system.
- Primary function of a circuit breaker is to protect the wire from overheating (overload) and fault currents (short circuit)

- Trips to center position - must turn off then turn back on
