Hubbell A.C. toggle switches offer a grounding terminal as a standard feature throughout the product line. The 1993 National Electrical Code Article 380-12 requires metal wall plates for snap switches to be effectively grounded when the wiring method includes or provides a ground. This requires a ground termination on a switch used with a non-metallic box.
