Rock Pointe Corporate Center, Washington
Rock Pointe Corporate Center is an eleven-acre Class A office campus in Spokane, Washington with over 558,000 square feet of office space in four buildings. Originally constructed in the 1980s and 1990s, the Rock Pointe Corporate Center competes with other premium commercial spaces in the Class A office building market.
The Chief Engineer at Unico Properties, along with the facility owners, reached out to HD Supply Account Executive Gina Ferraiuolo to explore how HD Supply could help them lower operating costs and ensure that Rock Pointe would continue to retain and attract discerning tenants to its Class A office buildings.
The Solution
Gina quickly identified areas that would pay immediate dividends. Restroom appearance is critical to the overall image and impression that a building makes with tenants and guests. Gina suggested updating the now dated towel, tissue and soap dispensers to Georgia-Pacific Stainless Steel enMotion® towel dispensers and Renown through-the-counter soap dispensers. The upgrades included Green Seal products for the paper and hand soap used in the buildings.
Gina contacted her partners at Schlage to help conduct an audit of the all their door hardware. As a 25-year-old building, the door hardware upgrade was vital to maintain the premium image that Rock Pointe was known for. HD Supply worked with the existing building service contractor, ABM, to supply the building and control ordering.
The Result
The upgrades to Green Seal paper and skin care products will help Unico achieve LEED credits towards LEED certification. The higher efficiency paper and soap dispenser upgrades realized an immediate 30% reduction in labor costs. The revitalization of Rock Pointe is well underway, ensuring that the Rock Pointe campus maintains its premium stature in the Spokane office space market.
