The Pro Series Pump Alternator and Alarm System is ideal for those wishing to maintain 2 pumps in the same pit. The alternator lengthens the life of both pumps by alternating usage, running 1 pump at a time. If a pump or float fails, the system will alert with a visual and audible alarm that high water is present and let you know which pump is failing. The system will then allow the other pump and the second float to keep everything dry. In addition, it has a remote terminal allowing for connection to external devices, such as, one of the Pro Series Pumps CONNECT modules, a home security system, home automation system, or other device for remote notification. The mid-level Pro Series Enhanced Vertical Switch Controller (VSC1.5) is designed for reliability and flexibility. It has a large float that rests vertically on a rod with minimal movement and sealed gold contacts for reliable high cycle operation. The vertical switch simply mounts to the discharge pipe at the activation height of your choosing with the included stainless steel hose clamp. The VSC1.52 is a piggy-back switch making compatible with most sump, sewage and effluent pumps. For easy installation the float switch can be unplugged from the controller, the run time is adjustable (after the float drops), and the controller has universal mounting tabs. For enhanced user facets, the VSC1.5 exercises the pump weekly to extend pump life and has a system operating light to display that the control box is operating properly. Pressure switches are used to control electrically driven water pumps, suitable for all types of pumps; jets, submersible, reciprocating, etc. Pressure switches are needed for rural water systems that rely on well to supply their water. Water is pumped from the well or other water source to the pressure tank and as the tank fills the air in the tank becomes pressurized. When the pre-set pressure is reached, the pressure switch contacts open to stop the pump. When water is used, the pressure in the pressure tank fall and as it reached the pre-set cut in pressure of the switch the contacts close, starting the cycle over. These pressure switches are easily adjusted by following instruction inside the switch cover.
