The Pro Series Pump Alternator and Alarm System is ideal for those wishing to maintain 2 pumps in the same pit. The alternator lengthens the life of both pumps by alternating usage, running 1 pump at a time. If a pump or float fails, the system will alert with a visual and audible alarm that high water is present and let you know which pump is failing. The system will then allow the other pump and the second float to keep everything dry. In addition, it has a remote terminal allowing for connection to external devices, such as, one of the Pro Series Pumps CONNECT modules, a home security system, home automation system, or other device for remote notification. Pressure Switches are used to control electrically driven water pumps, suitable for all types of pumps: jets, submersible, reciprocating, etc. Pressure switches are needed for rural water systems that rely on wells to supply their water. Water is pumped from the well or other water source to the pressure tank and as the tank fills the air in the tank becomes pressurized. When the pre-set pressure is reached, the pressure switch contacts open to stop the pump. When water is used, the pressure in the pressure tank falls and as it reaches the pre-set cut in pressure of the switch the contacts close, starting the cycle over. These pressure switches are easily adjusted by following instruction inside the switch cover.
