The Pro Series Pumps Dual Float Controller (DFC1) is designed for reliability. It has not one, but 2 micro reed switches within a protective cage. The second float, which acts as a fail-safe to provide redundancy, is unique and the most dependable in the industry. It has a protective cage that prevents debris from interfering with the floats, a solid top to keep out sand or dirt, and a vented-curved bottom to prevent build-up under the float. The dual float simply mounts to the discharge pipe, at the activation height of your choosing, with the included stainless steel hose clamp and is a piggy-back switch making it compatible with most sump pumps. The lower float switch activates the pump when water reaches the float, the controller will then run the pump for an extra 10 seconds to drain excess water after the float switch drops. If you want a simple switch that just works, you have found it.
